The Joie Roomie Glide is a bedside crib that lets parents sleep together with their baby while making sure that they're asleep safely. Its smooth glide can help ease your baby's sleep, and its innovative features allow you to keep an eye on your child without leaving your bed.
The sliding side panel of the crib can be raised and lowered with a simple push of a single button. This makes it easy to reach inside and soothe a baby in the night. It comes with 11 height adjustments that can be adjusted to fit almost any mattress size and adjustable folding feet so that it's at the right height.
In terms of safety the cot is padded and fitted with mesh sides to provide more airflow, and the mattress is made from high-density foam for extra protection. It can also be cleaned, so you can keep the crib clean. It includes a fitted bed sheet that can be used for the crib.
The Roomie Glide, unlike some other cribs for beds, is compatible with most beds including divans. This is thanks to the clips and straps which connect it. It can be used as a standalone crib when it is not attached to the bed. It has many amazing features that were designed with baby and parent bonding in mind.
The most important thing to keep in mind is that even though this crib is great for babies, it won't last long once your child is six months old, so you will have to purchase a bigger cot. But, in general Roanna thought that the Joie Roomie Glide was a very good purchase and she particularly liked its elegant design.
The Roomie Glide is available to purchase at John Lewis for PS160, which Roanna thought was a reasonable price for a cot with such advanced features. She also liked how it was positioned in the bedroom and believed that its grey colour will work well in modern homes. She also mentioned that it's not an ideal idea to rock a baby when it's younger as it could create a bad sleep pattern for later.
The Tutti Bambini CoZee
The Tutti Bambini CoZee is an award-winning bedside crib designed to ensure a peaceful night's sleep in mind. It has a drop side rail that can be easily lowered for nighttime feeds without having to wake your child or get out of bed - it's ideal for breastfeeding mothers! It's also lightweight, making it easy to move around the house during naps and also for travel.
It's made of soft material and features mesh sides that are breathable to help promote airflow. It is available in oak or charcoal with various melange fabrics that blend with all styles of decor. Anna found it solid and secure when it was attached to her bed with the legs securely clicking into the bed and the zips secured to ensure safety for babies. It took her about 10 minutes to assemble and didn't require any tools, with clear instructions and a video or customer support number available if you run into any problems.
In addition to the standard features you'd expect from a crib for your bed, like being able to be connected to your bed using a stay-in-place connector system and six height levels The CoZee also comes with an additional incline option that can be used to help alleviate reflux or congestion in infants. It's also machine washable, a essential feature with all the dribble and vomit that comes with having a new baby!
The CoZee is a fantastic option to keep your child close during the first six months of learning to sleep independently. It can be used as a crib, changing station or toddler bed. It can also be transformed into a sofa bed by the addition of an extension pack. And while it isn't able to feed your baby, or magically put them to sleep it will rock them until they go off!
The Chicco Next2Me Magic
This is one of Chicco's more expensive options, however it is packed with lots of features. It can be used as either a side-sleeper or a standalone crib that is suitable for infants from birth to six months. It features a brand new mechanism for opening and closing the side panel. It's easy to use even with one hand. It's also more flexible than its predecessor with 11 different height levels and retractable feet for a secure installation under any bed.
Our testers were impressed with the simple access the side panel provides that can be moved up and down at the touch of the button. This was an enormous help during night time feeds as it meant that they could easily reach in and take their baby away without waking them up.
The side panel can be lifted on its own, but it's not recommended since it increases the risk of your child falling out of the cot. The patented safety locking system makes sure that the side panel will only remain in place when it is connected correctly to the mattress of the parent. This feature is great for peace of mind if you breastfeed and require frequent night feeds.
Telescopic legs permit the Chicco Next2Me Magic to be used with any bed including divan bases and beds with drawers. It features a tilting feature for babies with reflux, as well as an option to rock to soothe them to sleep after eating. It's also extremely spacious and provides excellent ventilation due to its mesh sides.
Our testers found the Next2Me Magic easy to set up and use, though it does come with a long instruction manual. It's a bit heavier than other side-sleepers however, it is easily moved from one room to another. The Shnuggle Air bedside crib is an excellent choice for an infant crib that will grow with your child. It's a crib for co-sleeping that can be attached securely to your bed and can be converted into a stylish cot once your baby is old enough. Ideal for feeding at night and strengthening your bond with your new born.
In contrast to other models of bedside cribs The Shnuggle Air is built with breathability in mind. Its dual-view mesh sides and the airflow mattress, which is hypoallergenic and breathable increase airflow to keep your baby cool and comfortable. A gentle incline option helps to ease colic and reflux, while the zip down side allows you to feed or soothe your baby during the night.
The kit for conversion to cot is also well designed, with clear instructions. It includes everything you need. It took us about an hour to construct and was surprisingly simple. The only downside was the lack of captions in writing on a few of the images which made it difficult to follow certain steps. Overall, it was an easy procedure and the quality of materials employed was of a high standard.
The Shnuggle Air is a great choice for mothers who are breastfeeding or have had a c-section. It lets them reach out and hold their baby to comfort them and feeding without having to leave their bed. It's ideal for parents who don't want the hassle of putting their baby in a traditional cot, or even getting them out of it.
During our tests we observed the gliding motion of this next-to-me crib to be particularly helpful when it comes to getting babies to sleep after midday and nighttime feeds. The drop-down sides make it easy to feed or soothe babies during the night. This was a major selling point for our exhausted test mums. Although it doesn't rock, or come with extra features such as an audio system the Joie Roomie Glide's sleek design and functionality are a welcome addition our top bedside crib reviews.
